Dr. Michelle Cruz earned her Doctorate of Optometry (Magna Cum Laude) from Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, California. She then completed a residency in Primary Eye Care and Low Vision Rehabilitation at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Long Beach, California. During her residency, she gained extensive experience managing diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and many other ocular diseases. She also provided optometric rehabilitation for veterans who were visually impaired and suffered traumatic brain injuries. Prior to completing her doctorate, Dr. Cruz earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Summa Cum Laude) from California State University San Marcos.
Dr. Cruz has been serving the Lake Elsinore and Murrieta communities since 2017, and is thrilled to be back in Lake Elsinore. Dr. Cruz is known for her outstanding service through personalized, comprehensive eye care. She takes a patient-centered approach and involves her patients in all aspects of their care. Dr. Cruz also prides herself in taking the time to tailor each patient’s prescription and eyewear to their specific needs and is passionate about neurodiversity-affirming practices.
When not in the office, Dr. Cruz loves to crochet, watch movies, and make homemade cultured foods.
